Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Wax Assembly Operator to clean, prepare, and assemble wax patterns and related components used in aerospace parts production. You will follow engineering specifications and customer requirements to ensure quality and on-time production.

The role supports aviation safety and reliability, with a 5th shift (Fri-Sun, 5:00p-5:00a) and a $3.50 shift differential. Training may require varied shifts; after training, you’ll transition to your assigned shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions.
• 3+ months of manufacturing, assembly, inspection, or related experience.
• Prior aerospace, manufacturing, or precision assembly experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
• Good hand dexterity and ability to perform detailed assembly work.
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Ability to work safely, follow procedures, and work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare wax patterns and core components prior to assembly.
• Remove defects using approved tools and methods.
• Inspect wax patterns to ensure they meet quality requirements before assembly.
• Read and follow engineering sketches, practices, and work instructions.
• Assemble wax patterns, gating, sprues, bleeders, pour cups, ceramic cores, and other mold components.
• Use hot irons, water welders, scalpels, adhesives, and other assembly tools as required.
• Repair minor imperfections and address quality concerns as directed.
• Complete required paperwork and accurately sign off on production routers.
• Transfer completed work to the next operation and communicate job status to the team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
