Job summary

Saab is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician for the 3rd shift in West Lafayette, IN. You will ensure proper tooling supply to the production system, drive tooling improvements, manage inventory, and act as a bridge between tooling engineering and production.

The role emphasizes strong tooling troubleshooting, testing, and compliance with aerospace standards, while supporting a people-first culture aligned with Saab values.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in STEM or 2+ years related work experience required.
• 2+ years in aircraft manufacturing assembly or structural systems is a plus.
• Tooling selection/application experience in manufacturing setting.
• Basic tooling design capability.
• Troubleshooting tooling issues and implementing countermeasures.

Responsibilities

• Audit and maintain tools in each assembly area.
• Support tooling studies and applications.
• Conduct tooling performance testing and report results.
• Investigate and resolve tooling issues.
• Propose new tooling solutions and participate in capital projects.
