Job summary

RTX is seeking a Systems Engineering Intern in San Diego to contribute to hardware and software integration, develop test plans, debug and verify system requirements across the lifecycle. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in lab and field environments to deliver reliable solutions and support program development and testing.

You'll gain hands-on experience with MATLAB, Python and C++, and work within a DoD security clearance framework to ensure readiness of systems for customer

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering Or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship session.
• Experience with data analysis using tools such as Microsoft Office, Python, MATLAB and/or C++
• Experience with troubleshooting technical issues in an academic or internship setting, including the use of common commercial test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.)

Responsibilities

• As a Systems Engineering intern, you will contribute to integrate hardware and software, develop test plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, and verify system requirements in support of final sell-off to the customer.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and partner to implement solutions across the product lifecycle.
• Support elements of program development, engineering testing, integration, field testing, production, system deployment, and post deployment support.
• Get to know aspects of the system and have a direct hand in making it all work together with teams of engineers engaged in integration and test efforts.
• Maintain engineering databases and support test data analysis using MATLAB and Python.
