Job summary

RTX's Collins Aerospace Strategic Defense Solutions group seeks a highly motivated Mechanical Engineering intern to join our team onsite in Richardson, TX. You will design, develop, and test mechanical/electromechanical systems for military aircraft and transportable platforms, collaborating with Systems, Electrical, and Manufacturing Engineering staff.

Qualifications

Pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or STEM fields and enrolled through internship/session end.
Experience with 3D CAD software to develop models and components.
Experience with mechanical analysis tools or simulations is required or beneficial.

Responsibilities

Apply research to design, development, and testing of mechanical/electromechanical systems.
Create models for components, parts, subassemblies, and assemblies with engineers.
Execute tests for systems, subsystems, and components with oversight.
Analyze test results against design specs and objectives.
Communicate effectively within a cross-functional team.
