Job summary

RTX in San Diego seeks a Systems Engineer to integrate hardware and software, develop test plans, debug and verify system requirements across the product lifecycle. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, test in lab/field, and support deployment to customers.

The role requires a STEM degree, hands-on troubleshooting experience, and proficiency with C/C++/C#, MATLAB or Python. A security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in STEM obtained by start date.
• Experience troubleshooting in academic or internship settings with common test equipment.
• Experience via on-the-job, research, coursework, or projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical and/or software system integration; C/C++/C# preferred.
• Experience with MATLAB or Python scripting for data analysis and automation.
• Ability to analyze issues and define solutions.
• Strong communication skills (written, verbal, listening).
• Self-starter with independent problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Integrate hardware and software, develop test plans and procedures.
• Debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces; verify requirements.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across the product lifecycle.
• Support program development, engineering testing, field testing, and deployment.
• Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to stakeholders.
