Job summary

CesiumAstro is hiring a Senior Supplier Quality Manager to lead supplier quality engineering teams across aerospace components and assemblies. You will oversee qualification, audits, PPAP/FAI, and corrective actions to ensure compliant, high-quality purchased hardware and materials for space-grade systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field.
• Very strong knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 and aerospace requirements.
• Experience with supplier qualification, PPAP, and AS9102.
• Proven leadership of supplier quality teams and audits.
• Proficient in root cause analysis and 8D/5-Why methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple supplier quality engineering teams for qualification and development.
• Set priorities and allocate resources to meet program goals.
• Develop quality leaders through coaching and succession planning.
• Oversee supplier audits, risk assessments, and PPAP/FAI activities.
• Ensure QMS and regulatory requirements are met with suppliers.
• Review supplier performance and drive improvement actions.
• Escalate major risks and drive SCAR processes and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to reduce risk.
• Monitor supplier capability and develop strategic suppliers.
• Advance quality analytics and continuous improvement across the supply base.
