Job summary

Regal Rexnord Aerospace in Downers Grove is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to support and lead quality initiatives with suppliers. You will work within our QA team to quickly address issues and drive improvements across our supplier base.

Qualified candidates will have an engineering degree, 5–10 years of supplier QA experience, and proficiency with APQP, GD&T, and problem-solving methods. This onsite role emphasizes quality leadership and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• US Person with permanent residence.
• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
• 5–10 years of Supplier Quality Assurance experience.
• Willing to travel 5–10% for supplier audits.
• Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO9001 quality systems.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with APQP tools such as SPC, GR&R, DOE, FMEA, Control Plans, Cpk, GD&T, DMAIC, FAIs.
• Experience in manufacturing environments (machining, brazing, stamping, finishing).
• Ability to read engineering drawings including GD&T.
• Lean manufacturing experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Use data-driven problem solving to improve key quality metrics (PPM, scrap, CSAT).
• Lead supplier audits and assessments and drive corrective actions.
• Develop and refine receiving inspection plans for purchased parts.
• Develop qualification plans for outsourcing and supplier change activities.
• Define supplier quality system requirements aligned with customer needs.
• Promote quality ownership and continuous improvement at suppliers’ locations.
• Assist in identifying opportunities for facility and supplier improvement.
