Job summary

Parker Hannifin, a Fortune 250 global leader in motion and control technologies, is seeking a Supplier Development Project Engineer in Irvine. You will manage supplier work-transfer projects, collaborate with cross-functional internal and external teams, and drive deflation and cost-reduction initiatives to mitigate risk in aerospace manufacturing.

The role emphasizes supplier evaluation, audits, and building partnerships with new and existing suppliers.

Qualifications

B.A./B.S. degree in a related technical or business discipline. Six+ years in manufacturing engineering roles, aerospace preferred, with 1–2 years in Supply Chain.
Certification or a professional designation (e.g., APICS) may be required or preferred depending on position requirements.
Demonstrated project management capability, cross-functional leadership, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings (Blue-Print).
Advanced computer skills with Excel, Access, and ERP systems; strong analytical capabilities.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication; ability to interface with internal teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

Lead key supplier work transfer projects, coordinating internal and external teams to increase capacity and reduce risk.
Monitor supplier performance via scorecards and KPIs; support supplier evaluation and approvals with Procurement and Supply Chain.
Lead continuous improvement activities to improve supplier efficiency, quality, delivery, and cost.
Support supplier audits to assess production capability and compliance; collaborate with business units for supplier selection criteria.
Travel as needed to support business requirements.
