Qualifications

  • Requires a B.S. in engineering and 2+ years experience.
  • Experience with launch vehicle or aircraft structural design.
  • Strong CAD skills using Creo and structural analysis fundamentals.
  • Ability to perform hand calculations and FEA.
  • Knowledge of material selection, compatibility, and manufacturing techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Design and analysis of primary and secondary structures, including composites and metallic pieces.
  • Create 3D models, drawings, assemblies, and interface control documents.
  • Coordinate with subsystem teams on structural interfaces.
  • Provide on-site manufacturing and production support as needed.
  • Ensure production quality and disposition non-conformances.
  • Support configuration development and trade studies.
  • Work with cross-functional teams on materials, processes, and suppliers.
  • Develop and procure new equipment and tooling.
  • Maintain activity schedule, budget, and technical status.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements and cost savings.
