Job summary

RTX is seeking a Seating Certification Engineer to lead regulatory certification for aircraft interior components from its Winston-Salem facility. The role focuses on research, planning, and execution of certification activities for new, in-service, and modified interiors, onsite in North Carolina.

The ideal candidate has a STEM degree with 2+ years of related experience and FAA-aligned qualifications. Travel up to 10% may be required and sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with2+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree.
• Mechanical, Aerospace or Civil engineering degree required per FAA.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare documentation for projects, including certification plans and reports.
• Coordinate with DERs, ODAs, DOAs, OEMs, and FAA/foreign agencies.
• Review drawings and tests for regulatory conformity and clarity.
• Develop data and responses to customer or regulator requests.
• Identify new business opportunities and present technical proposals.
