Job summary

Saab is seeking 3rd shift Structural Assemblers in West Lafayette, IN to build the aft fuselage for the T-7A Red Hawk and train new team members. The role includes active participation in our production system and on-site training through the Aerospace structures academy.

Starting hourly rate is $23–$25 with a 3rd shift premium of $2.00 per hour. Comprehensive benefits and a strong safety culture accompany the opportunity.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant assembly or hand tool experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ability to follow standardized procedures and maintain consistent quality.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident, or protected individual as defined by U.S. law.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aircraft structure per procedures and requirements.
• Train new team members and transfer knowledge.
• Support continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, delivery and morale.
• Complete functional testing of assemblies and systems.
• Handle Class A surfaces including touch-up painting.
• Sign off when work is complete per specification.
