Saab is hiring 3rd shift Structural Assemblers in West Lafayette, IN to build the aft fuselage for the T-7A Red Hawk. You will train new team members and contribute to a state-of-the-art production system.

The role involves assembling structures, following procedures, and performing Class A surface touch-ups. Starting hourly rate is $23–$25 with a $2 shift premium, and start date is early December 2026.

Competenze

• 2+ years of relevant assembly experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Ability to select and safely use appropriate hand and power tools
• Ability to follow standardized procedures and maintain consistent quality
• Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks including bending, stooping, twisting, kneeling, reaching, and gripping
• Ability to frequently lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as required

• Execute standardized procedures to deliver 100% quality for aircraft fuselage installation
• Adhere to quality requirements and work instructions in a team setting
• Support daily continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, delivery, and morale
• Carry out functional testing of assemblies and systems
• Handle Class A surfaces including touch-up painting and sign off on completion
• Assist training and knowledge transfer to new employees

• Other tasks as assigned and authorized
