Job summary

Saab is seeking 3rd shift Structural Assemblers in West Lafayette, IN to build the U.S. Air Force T-7A Red Hawk aft fuselage. Roles include assembling structures, training new team members, and contributing to a state-of-the-art production system.

On-site training through our Aerospace structures academy is provided as part of the hire. Starting hourly rate is $23-$25 with a $2.00 per hour third shift premium.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ability to select and safely use appropriate hand and power tools.
• Follow standardized procedures and maintain consistent quality.
• Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks, including bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aircraft fuselage systems and final assembly per procedures.
• Train new team members and transfer knowledge to others.
• Identify opportunities for safety, quality, cost, and delivery improvements.
• Complete functional testing of assemblies and systems and sign off per spec.
• Support a positive, productive work environment aligned with company values.
