Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for an onsite role in Jamestown, ND. This position focuses on complex software development, integration, and lifecycle activities for aerospace systems.

You will contribute across disciplines, lead key tasks, and help ensure performance against schedule and cost targets. The role requires a STEM degree with 5+ years of relevant experience (or an advanced degree with 3+ years) and knowledge of C/C++.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future. The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position. The company will not seek an export authorization for this role.
• Experience with software development, test, and/or integration using C, C++.
• Knowledge of DO-178 is required.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex technical problems and provide highly innovative solutions.
• Effectively contribute at all phases of the SW development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration
• Utilize strong investigation and troubleshooting skills to assess issues and develop solutions.
• Work effectively with team across multiple disciplines, internal and external
• Effectively contribute to program and customer meetings/reviews
• Support the program leads as needed regarding technical decision making, problem resolution.
• Perform technical leadership roles for at least one key tasks or line item on programs
• Help to ensure performance to technical, cost, schedule, quality.
• Support of system and software requirements and architecture generation and analysis as needed.
