Collins Aerospace in Jamestown, North Dakota, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help develop the next generation of aircraft seating software. This onsite role requires hands-on work across the software development lifecycle, including integration with hardware, investigation, and troubleshooting in a multidisciplinary team.

A STEM degree with at least 5 years of experience (or an advanced degree with 3+ years) and proficiency in C/C++, DO-178, and familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, and

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• Experience with software development, test, and/or integration using C, C++.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex technical problems and provide highly innovative solutions.
• Effectively contribute at all phases of the SW development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration.
• Utilize strong investigation and troubleshooting skills to assess issues and develop solutions.
• Work effectively with team across multiple disciplines, internal and external.
• Effectively contribute to program and customer meetings/reviews.
• Support the program leads as needed regarding technical decision making, problem resolution.
• Perform technical leadership roles for at least one key tasks or line item on programs.
• Help to ensure performance to technical, cost, schedule, quality.
• Support of system and software requirements and architecture generation and analysis as needed.
