Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support the movement of materials, parts, and finished products across our aerospace manufacturing operation. You will receive shipments, prepare outbound orders, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure safe, on-time deliveries, supporting production schedules and customer commitments.

The role requires 1-3 years in shipping/receiving, basic Excel/Word skills, and a focus on accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.
• 1-3 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience.
• Experience with shipping documentation, inventory records, and receiving processes.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with production, quality, and customer support teams.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against documents.
• Count, weigh, and record incoming/outgoing materials.
• Prepare products for shipment including packaging and labeling.
• Determine shipping methods to meet delivery requirements.
• Process shipments using carrier systems and shipping software.
• Route materials to appropriate departments and work centers.
• Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
• Investigate and document shipping discrepancies or damaged materials.
• Monitor inventory of shipping supplies to support production needs.
• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Load and unload trucks and move materials throughout the facility.
• Support handling and transportation of hazardous materials per safety requirements.
• Perform data entry and maintain records using Microsoft Excel/Word.
