Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support the movement of materials, parts, and finished products in an aerospace manufacturing setting. Responsibilities include receiving shipments, counting materials, packaging for outbound orders, and maintaining accurate records.

The role requires 1–3 years in shipping/logistics, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with Excel/Word. Excellent safety and regulatory compliance are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience.
• Experience with shipping documents, inventory records, and receiving processes.
• Basic computer skills including Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against PO, packing slips, bills of lading, and other shipping documents.
• Accurately count, weigh, and record incoming and outgoing materials.
• Prepare products for shipment with packaging, labeling, crating, and documentation.
• Determine appropriate shipping methods to meet delivery requirements.
• Process shipments using carrier systems and shipping software.
• Route materials to the appropriate departments and work centers.
• Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
• Investigate and document shipping discrepancies, shortages, or damaged materials.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks and other material handling equipment.
• Load and unload trucks and move materials throughout the facility.
• Support the handling and transportation of hazardous materials per safety requirements.
• Data entry in systems like Excel and Word.
