Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Associate in Compton, CA to support aerospace manufacturing operations. You will move parts between painting and chem mill, prepare shipments, and maintain accurate inventory using RF scanners in a hands-on warehouse setting.

The role emphasizes safe forklift operations, precise documentation, and efficient staging of products for timely delivery in a fully onsite environment.

Qualifications

Experience in shipping and receiving within a manufacturing environment.
Experience in aerospace manufacturing or processing is strongly preferred.
Hands-on forklift experience with the ability to operate forklifts safely in a warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

Assist in painting and chem mill departments by moving parts and materials.
Prepare parts and products for shipping and receiving, including grinding and deburring as needed.
Stage products for delivery, ensuring clear labeling and on-time dispatch.
Unload incoming product and materials, verify quantities and conditions.
Load outgoing product onto trucks, ensuring secure placement.
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
Perform general shipping and receiving tasks, including checking orders and updating records.
Handle warehouse inventory by counting and organizing stock.
