Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Fullerton, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Shipping and Receiving Clerk to support daily operations at our aerospace fittings facility.

You will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant shipment and receipt of materials, parts, and finished products while maintaining safety and quality standards. This on-site role requires 2+ years in shipping/receiving, reading/writing English, and familiarity with ERP systems; forklift operation is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience in a shipping and receiving role, preferably in aerospace or manufacturing.
• Must be able to read and write detailed instructions and specifications in English.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of inventory control systems and computer skills (email, Excel, ERP).

Responsibilities

• Review work orders and pulling inventory to support business needs.
• Loading and unloading inventory within the stockroom/warehouse.
• Preparing inventory for various utilization throughout the production process.
• Transport and move inventory throughout the facility.
• Receiving inventory from shipping docks: consumables, direct material, outside processing.
• Staging outgoing product for shipments.
• Creating documents and packaging for shipment.
• Coordinating with internal stakeholders on shipment dates and process.
• Releasing product to the various departments within the facility.
• Accurately document inventory movements in ERP or inventory systems (such as Oracle, SAP, or similar).
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure material flow aligns with production schedules.
• Perform periodic inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure adherence to all company policies, safety regulations, and aerospace industry standards.
