Job summary
Motive Workforce seeks a Shipping & Receiving / Driver to support an advanced manufacturing operation in Long Beach, serving aerospace, defense, aviation, and industrial sectors.
The role handles daily shipping, receiving, material handling, inventory support, and local transportation. Candidates must have shipping/receiving experience, strong attention to detail, and PPE/safety compliance in a manufacturing setting.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C driver's license and clean driving record.
- Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory, and material handling.
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work onsite in manufacturing.
- Familiarity with PPE and safety requirements, ITAR, and AS9100 is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities.
- Inspect, package, label, stage, and document materials.
- Verify part numbers, purchase orders, and shipping docs.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and material traceability.
- Operate company vehicles for pickups/deliveries.
- Load, unload, and secure materials with forklifts and carts.
- Communicate delivery schedules and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, AS9100, and ITAR.
- Provide daily status updates and support process improvements.
