Saab West Lafayette is seeking a Technical Writer to support the manufacturing of rear sections of the T-7A Redhawk trainer aircraft. You will serve as the local SME for technical writing, train inspectors, and manage NCRs, FAIs, and MRBs while aligning with Saab's quality standards.

Responsibilities include driving best practices, reporting metrics to leadership, and coordinating corrective actions. Strong communication and collaboration across shifts are essential.

Qualifications

• AS degree in Quality, Technical Writing, or related STEM discipline (or 3 years in a manufacturing quality role) required.
• Experience technical writing in manufacturing or quality operations is required.
• Ability to interpret and revise documentation/work instructions for consistency and repetition.
• Strong written and verbal communication; collaborative problem-solving.

Responsabilités

• Serve as local SME for technical writing and train inspectors across shifts.
• Report on writing performance and turnaround times to leadership.
• Identify common quality issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and update best practices for technical writing across the organization.
• Generate NCRs, Inspection/Control Plans, FAIs, MRB dispositions.
• Be primary contact for non-conformance investigations and material assessments.
