Job summary

Boyd Thermal by Eaton seeks a Quality Manager for its Woburn, MA site to lead quality assurance, quality control, and compliance with aerospace and defense standards. The role requires 8+ years in quality management, AS9100 experience, and a strong background in precision manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in quality management.
• 4+ years of experience with AS9100 certification and audits.
• Experience managing quality systems in precision manufacturing environments.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes.
• Experience with quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Quality System Management: Lead and maintain the site’s QMS in compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001.
• Product Quality Assurance: Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities.
• Compliance and Auditing: Manage internal, customer, and regulatory audits; ensure timely closure of findings.
• Supplier Quality: Develop and manage supplier quality program and corrective actions.
• Continuous Improvement & RCA: Lead problem-solving using 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, PFMEA.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Process Engineering, Production, and Engineering for NPI quality integration.
• Training and Development: Deliver quality training and mentor the Quality team.
• Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Support EHS initiatives and stay current with standards.
