Job summary

ITT is seeking a Quality Manager in California to lead the development and continuous improvement of the QMS, ensuring ISO 9001, AS9100, and NADCAP compliance. You will oversee audits, drive corrective actions, and maintain product integrity across engineering and production.

You will manage quality teams, collaborate with departments, and utilize tools like FMEA, SPC, and RCA to improve processes and customer satisfaction. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
• 5+ years in quality management within aerospace/defense.
• In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100 & NADCAP.
• Proven experience with Six Sigma, FMEA, RCA, and SPC.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Experience with internal/external audits, including regulatory audits.
• Proficiency in quality software systems and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation and continual improvement of the QMS per ISO 9001/AS9100.
• Ensure product quality through robust inspection, testing, and validation.
• Lead management review meetings and report findings to senior leadership.
• Facilitate quality improvement initiatives such as Kaizen and lean methods.
• Lead cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies and reduce waste.
• Benchmark against industry standards and implement best practices.
• Map core processes to ensure quality-critical steps and compliance.
• Provide regular reports on metrics, audits, non-conformances, and actions.
• Advise leadership on quality risks, opportunities, and planning.
• Conduct training on QMS principles and tools; perform monthly internal audits.
• Promote a quality culture through communications, workshops, and engagement.
