Job summary

AMETEK is seeking a Quality Manager for the Goleta, CA site to lead AS9100-based QA/QC, drive continuous improvement, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections, certificates of conformance, calibration, nonconformance, MRB, FAI, and supplier and customer quality performance.

The successful candidate will manage a QA/QC team, collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain, and apply AI tools to improve productivity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of quality experience in aerospace, defense, medical devices, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership or management experience.
• Experience maintaining certified Quality Management Systems (AS9100) and ITAR.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain compliance to the AS9100-certified Quality Management System and drive continuous improvement.
• Serve as the site Management Representative and lead audits for customers, regulators, and internal teams.
• Develop and report quality KPIs to drive data-based decision making and operational excellence.
• Oversee inspections, calibration, nonconformance, MRB, FAI, and source inspections.
• Identify and implement AI tools to improve productivity and decision quality.
