Job summary

Advanced Mission Partners, a subsidiary of SSAI, seeks a Quality Manager to lead the Quality Management System and ensure product conformance to aerospace and defense standards. The role drives risk-based thinking, audits, and continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities include managing inspections, NCRs/CARs/SCARs, supplier quality, and internal/external audits, with a focus on regulatory and contractual compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years in quality/control roles in aerospace/defense.
• Proficient with ISO 9001, AS9100 Rev D, and ANSI/ESD S20.20.
• Experience with risk-based thinking, risk management, and QMS principles.
• Lean principles and 5S methodologies.
• Experience with internal/external audits and corrective actions.
• Proficiency with quality inspection equipment (X-ray, Optical Comparator, CMM).
• Knowledge of IPC/J-STD standards and supplier quality processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and evolve the QMS to meet AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Lead Quality & Top Management Reviews and monitor KPIs and risks.
• Manage Continuous Improvement and track effectiveness of actions.
• Oversee inspection operations (receiving, in-process, final, source, lifecycle).
• Perform inspections with X-ray, Optical Comparator, and CMM tools.
• Review and approve manufacturing, procurement, and inspection docs; manage certifications.
• Handle NCRs, CARs, SCARs, RCA, and corrective actions.
• Ensure product safety/compliance through lifecycle and standards.
• Lead internal/external audits and serve as quality contact for customers/regulators.
• Conduct supplier audits, verify vendor performance, manage ASL.
• Analyze quality metrics for management reviews and decisions.
• Oversee counterfeit parts prevention and GIDEP liaison.
