Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Asheville is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure airworthiness of aerospace components. You will perform dimensional and visual inspections, interpret drawings, document results, and work with Operations to resolve quality issues while upholding strict safety standards.

Compensation includes shift-based responsibilities; 3rd shift runs Tue-Fri, 10:00 pm – 7:30 am, with full-time benefits and opportunities for certification and training in aerospace quality.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read/interpret blueprints and technical specs.
• Experience with aerospace inspection is preferred.
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections of aerospace components using drawings and procedures.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections and document results.
• Identify nonconformances, generate QNs, and support problem solving.
• Maintain compliance with customer, FAA, and other requirements.
• Obtain and maintain inspection certifications and provide training as needed.
• Collaborate with Operations to ensure safety, quality and productivity.
