Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in the United States is seeking a Quality Inspector for the Repair Operations division on the 3rd shift (11:30 PM–7:00 AM). This onsite role focuses on dimensional and visual inspection of parts, tools, and gages per procedures and drawings.

You will operate fixed and variable measuring instruments, perform math computations for nonconformance, and document results. The team supports continuous improvement and requires attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School or GED.
• Inspection experience (non-aerospace acceptable).
• Familiar with precision measuring equipment.
• Communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Computer skills.
• Basic shop math.

Responsibilities

• Read and apply inspection procedures, drawings, engine manuals and data to plan and perform dimensional and visual inspection on parts, tools and gauges.
• Use fixed and variable measuring instruments to check dimensions and record results.
• Compute extent of nonconformance and complete appropriate paperwork.
• Follow instructions and verify dimensions per work instructions.
• Maintain inspection stamp and support continuous improvement.
