Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Holt, MI is seeking an Aerospace QA Inspector to visually and dimensionally inspect components and interpret blueprints and inspection documents. The role requires effective communication, teamwork, and the ability to work all shifts, including a 3rd shift from 10pm to 6am, in a FAA-regulated facility.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma, strong measurement tool skills (calipers/micrometers), and a commitment to quality and safety in a high-precision production environment.

Qualifications

• Visual and dimensional inspection of aerospace components.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Visually and dimensionally inspecting aerospace components.
• Communicating inspection findings to management or designated quality engineering personnel.
• Determining the scope of work and inspecting Aftermarket and OEM parts.
• Interpreting blueprints, visual specifications, coating specifications, and other inspection documents.
• Using calipers and micrometers and other testing equipment.
• Relating inspection findings on actual components to blueprint requirements and specification requirements.
• Be a self-starter and possess integrity and professionalism at all times.
• Demonstrate excellence working in a team environment and have proven ability and willingness to learn new tasks as required.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Have basic computer skills.
• Be able to work any shift, including first, second, third, and/or weekends, as required by business need.
• 3rd Shift Hours are 10pm-6am.
