Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a Quality Engineer for our on-site team in Fullerton, CA. You will support FAIR documentation, audits, MRB, and customer relations, while driving improvements across quality inspection processes and cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires a mechanical/industrial/manufacturing engineering degree and 1+ year in manufacturing, with preferred experience in aerospace quality, AS9100 knowledge, and PPAP/AS9102 familiarity. Competitive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering in Mechanical, Industrial, Materials Science or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the AS9100 Quality Management System.
• Supporting customer, AS9100, and NADCAP audits.
• Conducting internal audits and identifying areas for improvement.
• Understanding customer demands and expectations of products and services.
• Developing training documentation for processes in compliance with requirements.
• Participating in design reviews, risk management, PPAP and AS9102 activities.
• Creating and enforcing quality standards, procedures, and policies.
• Working with all departments to develop procedures and training, and set performance goals.
• Communicating significant QA issues and recommending process improvements to management.
• Managing Root Cause & Corrective Action for external and internal complaints.
• Developing new approaches to QA challenges.
• Interface with supply chain development and evaluate supplier qualifications.
