Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Fullerton, CA is seeking a Quality Engineer to support with FAIR documentation, internal and external audit preparations, MRB processes, customer relations, and help quality inspection.

This on-site role emphasizes AS9100 and NADCAP audit readiness and cross-functional collaboration. You will maintain the AS9100 QMS, drive continuous improvement, PPAP activities, and develop training materials while coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering in mechanical, industrial, material science or manufacturing engineering.
• 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the AS9100 Quality Management System.
• Supporting customer, AS9100, and NADCAP audits.
• Conducting internal audits and identifying areas for improvement.
• Understanding customer demands and expectations of products and services.
• Developing training documentation for processes in compliance with requirements.
• Participating in design reviews, risk management, continuous improvement, and PPAP activities.
• Creating and enforcing quality standards, procedures, and policies.
• Collaborating with all departments to develop procedures and training needs.
• Communicating significant issues identified during QA activities and proposing improvements.
• Managing Root Cause & Corrective Action for complaints.
• Developing new approaches to solve QA problems.
• Interface with supply chain development; evaluate supplier performance and qualifications.
