Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Branford, CT is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure customer specifications are met and to drive process control on the shop floor. The role focuses on maintaining the quality management system, supporting AS9100D and AS13100 compliance, and coordinating audits with customers and registrars.

The candidate will lead corrective actions, review customer drawings, and manage MRB for non-conforming material, delivering robust quality improvements and ensuring release of certified

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, quality systems or engineering preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Export control eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Supports the plant QMS and ensures compliance to AS9100D & AS13100.
• Partners with management to drive quality objectives.
• Prepares for external audits (AS9100 Registrar, Nadcap, and customer audits).
• Monthly reporting of key process indicators and corrective actions.
• Owns MRB for non-conforming material and coordinates CAPA.
• Interprets customer specs and blueprints for production.
• Manages corrective actions and root-cause analysis.
• Submits qualification documents (FAI, Process Approvals, pfMEAs).
• Ensures adherence to all quality procedures and plant procedures.
• Maintains certifications and compliance with EHS, Nadcap, export control.
