Job summary

Chromalloy Windsor, CT is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure aerospace products and processes meet customer and regulatory standards across the supply chain. You will drive continuous improvement, investigate quality issues, and support safe, reliable engine components.

The role partners with quality, engineering, operations, and sourcing teams to implement corrective actions, analyze performance data, and sustain high product quality in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and quality tools.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Experience with root cause analysis methodologies and structured problem solving.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with AS9100, customer requirements, regulatory requirements, and internal quality procedures.
• Lead investigations of nonconforming material and quality system issues using 8D, RCCA, and Five Why analyses.
• Develop, maintain, and improve inspection plans, control plans, and work instructions.
• Perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) per AS9102.
• Analyze quality data and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
• Monitor scrap, rework, yield, and customer complaints to drive improvements.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues.
