Job summary

RSA Engineered Products LLC in Simi Valley, CA is seeking a Project Engineer II to plan, organize, and control engineering activities focused on customer specifications to meet cost and schedule targets. You may supervise junior engineers and collaborate across disciplines including design, certification, and manufacturing.

Responsibilities include generating certification documentation, leading design reviews, ensuring compliance with ARP 699, and supporting from RFP through production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in ME, Physics, EE, Aeronautical Engineering or IE with preference toward Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–7+ years in metallic or composite ducting and motion compensator design per ARP 699 or equivalent ECS experience.
• Experience with aircraft certification to EASA, Transport Canada, and/or FAA 14 CFR FAR 25 requirements.
• Experience from kick-off to milestones: PDR, CDR, PRR, SOF, EIS.
• Familiarity with CAD tools and certification documentation.

Responsibilities

• Organize and schedule engineering activities to meet schedule and cost targets.
• Generate certification documentation (design calculations, test procedures/reports, 3D/2D drawings).
• Peer review of detailed design (manufacturing drawings, stress analysis, project schedules).
• Support junior engineers and ensure design compliance with customer requirements.
• Lead design reviews and interdepartmental presentations to align on design points.
• Conform to safety policies and work in a team environment.
