Job summary

RSA Engineered Products LLC in Simi Valley, CA is hiring a Project Engineer II. You will lead engineering activities from design to certification, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and support the production lifecycle for aerospace ducting assemblies and high-temperature components.

You will work on projects from NPI to production readiness, including design validation and certification, while mentoring junior engineers. This role requires on-site presence and aviation industry experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in ME, Physics, EE, Aeronautical Engineering or IE; advanced degree preferred.
• 3–7+ years in metallic or composite ducting and motion compensator design per ARP 699 guidelines as Project/Systems Engineer or equivalent in ECS, bleed air, or AMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Organize and schedule engineering activities to ensure on-time, within-cost delivery.
• Prepare and control certification documentation (design calculations, test procedures/reports, 3D models, 2D drawings).
• Peer review of detailed design activities (manufacturing drawing review, stress analysis, schedules).
• Support junior engineers and ensure conformance to customer requirements.
• Schedule design reviews and cross-departmental presentations; coordinate with teams.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in ME, Physics, EE, Aeronautical Engineering or IE with preference toward Mechanical Engineering
