Job summary

Raytheon’s Tucson Quality Team seeks a Program Supplier Assurance Engineer to ensure parts and services meet requirements in the supply chain. You’ll oversee supplier oversight, participate in reviews, and help drive containment, root cause, and corrective actions to prevent defects.

Responsibilities include flow-down of product requirements to suppliers, on-site surveillance, and participation in design and program reviews. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field or related experience.
• Experience interpreting schematic drawings and hardware inspection techniques.
• Experience with statistical analysis processes and tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Ability to obtain interim U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Review hardware, software and service purchase requisitions or material masters for complete and correct flow down requirements.
• Act as technical interface between Supplier Quality, SCM and Suppliers on rejected materials.
• Perform defect data analysis and review with program managers and supplier management; help develop supplier improvement plans.
• Lead cross-functional teams in problem resolution and continuous improvement using Six Sigma, Lean, and related methods.
• Identify supplier risks; develop mitigation plans to reduce defects.
