Job summary

Parker Aerospace in Troy, Indiana, is seeking a Project Manager to lead large cross-functional initiatives within Gas Turbine Fuel Systems.

You will own the program charter, baseline plan, and manage risk, cost, and schedule while keeping customers informed. You will coordinate with engineering, procurement, and operations to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in engineering, science, business, or a related field.
• PM training (e.g. PMI) required; PMP or CAPM certification typically within 6 months.
• Eight or more years related work experience; two+ years leading multiple projects.
• Cross-functional experience with high-technology customers, products, and processes preferred.
• Working knowledge of project management tools and formal PM processes.

Responsibilities

• Create program charter, baseline plan, and management components to meet customer needs.
• Plan tasks aligned with contract goals and objectives.
• Lead changes and execute project charters for assigned areas.
• Identify issues and develop action plans to improve performance (scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality).
• Ensure process compliance across project team and manage gate reviews.
• Communicate status to management and customers via reviews; escalate issues as needed.
• Allocate resources with managers and monitor budgetary controls.
• Monitor baseline schedule performance with the team.
