Job summary

Parker Aerospace in Ogden, Utah, is seeking a Program Manager to lead a Commercial Aerospace program of moderate scope. You will ensure performance across schedule, cost, resources and risk, serving as the primary customer focal point and guiding cross-functional teams.

The role requires a bachelor degree, PMP within six months, 5+ years leading complex programs, and strong knowledge of aerospace contracting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in engineering, sciences, business, or related field.
  • PMP certification within 6 months; advanced degree (MS/MBA) and PgMP/PMI-RMP preferred.
  • Ten+ years related work experience; including 5+ years leading multiple projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of program management processes, methodology, and architecture.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional matrixed teams across a suite of related projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of aerospace contracting and procurement requirements.
  • Proficient in business applications software and PM/financial tools.
  • Ability to analyze policies, contractual language, and financial reports.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures customer requirements are met and are in the best interests of Parker by creating the program charter, baseline plan, and other program management components.
  • Responsible for integrated program schedules, data integration, tracking of financial and quality performance, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Leads the development of program plans covering mature and new product development programs.
  • Organizes and leads programs by defining required expertise; manage plans, budgets, staffing and development of staff.
  • Oversees and approves task planning on programs including resource requirements and effort estimates.
  • Ensures successful customer relationships by responding to customer requests and negotiating contract changes.
  • Serves as key presenter at major program reviews and mentors teams in program management principles.
  • Maintains professional knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing publications.
