Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift at our Elyria, OH site. The role leads a team in metal fabrication, assembly, or test, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery while meeting cost goals.

The candidate will mentor staff, manage staffing to meet demand, and collaborate with value stream managers to optimize production. A strong background in lean manufacturing and MES/ERP-like systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory experience; 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or machine knowledge preferred.
• Deep understanding of cellular manufacturing; 5S; material replenishment; etc.
• Strong communication and data-driven problem solving.
• Proficiency with MS Office; ability to align customer demand with manufacturing capacity.

Responsibilities

• Identify and apply lean manufacturing tools to improve processes.
• Provide inputs for budgets and staffing planning.
• Monitor KPIs and drive daily problem solving.
• Ensure quality issues are identified and managed.
• Coordinate with other groups to meet production schedules.
• Mentor and develop team members.
• Staffing decisions per HR procedures.
