Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics is hiring a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift at our Elyria, OH facility. Hours are 3:00pm–Midnight, including a one-hour meal break, with oversight of a team in metal fabrication, assembly, and/or test.

The role focuses on maintaining safety, quality, and meeting customer demand schedules while guiding Lean initiatives and cross-functional collaboration. Strong supervision, manufacturing experience, and data-driven problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years supervisory experience.
• 5+ years of manufacturing or machine knowledge preferred.
• Deep understanding of cellular manufacturing practices.
• Intermediate MS Office skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to align demand with capacity.

Responsibilities

• Identify lean manufacturing tools to drive improvements and mentor teammates in their use.
• Provide inputs to resource planning, overtime projections, and budgets.
• Assist Value Stream Managers with monthly reporting to senior management.
• Review KPIs and drive daily problem solving using 8D/5 Why/ Fishbone methods.
• Ensure quality issues are identified and non-conforming materials are handled properly.
• Coordinate staffing decisions to meet production needs and growth.
• Develop, coach, and mentor employees through performance planning.
