Job summary

Chromalloy, a global engineering and solutions company, is hiring a Production Operator for 1st shift at Windsor, CT. In a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will support the repair and production of aerospace components, following standard work instructions and safety practices.

Responsibilities include cross-training across areas, using hand and power tools, measuring with calipers and gauges, ensuring quality, and complying with PPE and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Cross-train and perform production operations across multiple manufacturing areas.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment to prepare, clean, repair, and assemble aerospace components.
• Follow instructions to cut, shape, bond, form, cure, trim, drill, and repair parts.
• Perform chemical cleaning and surface prep processes.
• Conduct hand cleaning, acid etch, sanding, and deburring.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, scales to verify quality.
• Load, transport, and stage components; operate hoists and cranes as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.
