Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Production Operator to support the manufacturing and repair of aerospace components in a fast-paced production environment. This role performs a variety of production, cleaning, assembly, and processing tasks while following standardized work instructions, quality requirements, and safe work practices.

We’re looking for individuals who can cross-train across manufacturing areas, operate hand and power tools, and verify quality using measuring equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions.
• Clear communication in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn multiple processes.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Cross-train across multiple manufacturing areas.
• Use hand tools, power tools, machinery, and shop equipment to prepare, clean, process, repair, and assemble aerospace components.
• Follow work instructions to cut, shape, bond, form, inject, cure, trim, drill, and repair parts.
• Perform chemical cleaning and surface preparation processes.
• Conduct hand cleaning operations including acid etch, sanding, blending, and deburring.
• Use inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify quality requirements.
• Inspect and certify your own work to standards.
