Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a meticulous Senior Production Planner to strengthen our aerospace manufacturing operations. This role focuses on developing production plans, coordinating schedules, and aligning capacity with material availability and customer demand.

You will collaborate across supply chain, operations, engineering, and finance to optimize planning and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining data integrity and reporting performance metrics to leadership.

Qualifications

Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and identify trends.
Proven experience in production planning or manufacturing operations.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, or related field.
Experience with ERP/MES and data-driven decision making.
Familiarity with Smartsheet and Microsoft Project; ability to develop a Master Production Schedule.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain floor production schedules for space-related projects.
Review material shortages and safety stock levels with Purchasing/Manufacturing.
Monitor production progress and address deviations to ensure on-time delivery.
Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials within internal work centers.
Develop data-driven supply chain processes with internal stakeholders.
Maintain ERP data integrity to improve product delivery.
Create tools to identify capacity slots and impact on delivery dates.
Serve as SME for capacity-based make-vs-buy and lead times analysis.
Prepare reports for senior management on status and metrics.
