Job summary

CesiumAstro is hiring a Senior Material Planner to lead material strategies that balance supply and demand for our satellite and aerospace manufacturing. You will drive plans that support production schedules, coordinate with engineering, finance and operations, and mitigate risks to inventory and delivery commitments.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement of planning processes, data integrity in ERP/MRP systems, and collaboration with suppliers to improve performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 5 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of material planning, production planning and inventory management.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and business reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated material plans to support production schedules and delivery requirements.
• Analyze material requirements, inventory levels, demand forecasts and supply commitments.
• Identify shortages or constraints and implement recovery plans.
• Support new product introductions, engineering changes and production transitions.
• Coordinate with operations and manufacturing to ensure material readiness.
• Maintain planning data within ERP/MRP systems and generate status reports.
