Job summary

Nidec Corporation is seeking a Process Assurance Engineer to define and manage product development processes for system, hardware and software in aerospace. You will train teams, conduct internal audits, and support customer and authority audits for an electric propulsion unit.

The role requires deep experience with ARP-4754A, DO-254, DO-178C/DO-331, cyber security, airworthiness and requirements-based development, including DOORS or JAMA.

Qualifications

• Experience in new product development and phase-gate processes.
• Experience in development of electromechanical propulsion systems or actuation systems.
• Experience with electronic controllers for safety-critical applications.
• Experience in requirements-based development.
• Experience with ARP-4754A, DO-254, DO-178C and DO-331.
• Experience with Cyber-Security methods applicable to commercial aviation.
• Experience with airworthiness certification requirements.
• Experience with IBM DOORS or JAMA.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Define product development processes per ARP-4754A/DO-254/DO-178C.
• Provide training on defined development processes to the team.
• Perform internal audits and support external audits from customers and authorities.
• Conduct requirements management activities and tool support.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required to design and manufacturing locations.
