Job summary
Merlin Labs seeks a senior Development Assurance lead to advance ARP4754B-compliant processes from prototype to production. You will mentor engineers, build control plans, and drive audits aligning with DO-178C/DO-254, collaborating with Systems Engineering and Flight Test to mature certifiable requirements across programs.
Based in the Boston area, you’ll report to the VP of Airworthiness & Certification and help scale development assurance across Merlin’s civil and defense initiatives.
Qualifications
- Experience implementing/ auditing aerospace processes per ARP4754A/B or ARP4761/A
- Experience partnering with Systems Engineering to mature requirements across prototypes to production
- Strong technical writing, training, and communication skills, including mentorship of engineers
Responsibilities
- Assess and improve ARP4754B processes and documentation
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop robust development assurance solutions
- Develop audit plans, process control plans, and training materials
- Integrate assurance processes across Autonomy, Air Vehicle Integration, and Flight Test & Operations
- Coordinate with engineering to keep process specifications current with evolving programs
- Champion a culture of compliance and continuous improvement
