Job summary

GE Aerospace Grand Rapids is seeking a Lead Quality Engineer for Process Assurance to drive audits and ensure compliance with aerospace regulations. You will plan, execute, and document audits, review artifacts, and report findings to leadership while collaborating with internal teams and customers.

The role requires 5+ years in aerospace auditing and hands-on knowledge of RTCA/DO-178, RTCA/DO-254, and SAE ARP4754A, plus strong written and verbal communication and ethics to maintain independence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 7+ years of quality experience.
• Minimum 3 years auditing process or systems in aerospace.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and document process and system audits/assessments.
• Assess compliance with program plans, internal procedures, and standards.
• Review engineering artifacts for compliance and traceability.
• Document audit results with clear findings and evidence.
• Support root cause analysis and verify corrective actions.
• Maintain quality records and retrievable audit artifacts.
• Develop and report quality/audit metrics to stakeholders.
• Interface with internal teams and customers on audits.
• Provide coaching on compliant practices and improvements.
