Job summary

magniX is seeking a highly organized Manufacturing Engineer to drive production processes for Electric Powertrain components, including energy storage, power electronics, and motors. You will develop tooling, document work instructions, and manage ERP data while supporting first article and ramped production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, or similar engineering discipline.
• 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Experience authoring production work instructions, work orders, or job travelers for assembled hardware.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes, process flow diagrams, documentation, and tooling to produce aerospace powertrain components.
• Collaborate with design engineers to optimize assemblies and part designs for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/A).
• Estimate cycle times, labor content, and ROM process and tooling costs to support planning and decisions.
• Design simple assembly fixtures and process aids in CAD; define requirements for tooling.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase yield and reduce cycle times.
• Industrialize processes as production rates increase; line balancing and capacity planning.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
• Support development of new powertrain technologies from prototype build to rate production.
• Provide technical support to production teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
