Job summary

MagniX in the Pacific Northwest is seeking a Product Development Engineer to bridge product strategy, engineering and commercial needs for electric propulsion. You will define architecture that leverages magniX IP and platform assets to accelerate new product lines across motors, batteries, inverters and software.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Program Management and Sales to validate feasibility, cost and manufacturability; establish reuse standards and interfaces;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in product development, systems engineering, or product architecture within aerospace or related highly regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Establish a formal product architecture framework using existing technology and IP.
• Identify reusable IP and platform components from current portfolio.
• Translate market and customer requirements into architecture and specifications.
• Develop a roadmap that extends from core platform IP to derivative products.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to validate feasibility, cost and manufacturability.
• Document design reuse standards, modularity guidelines, and interface controls.
• Assist make/buy decisions and assess IP overlap with existing designs.
• Present architectural recommendations to leadership and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to IP strategy with Engineering and IP counsel.
• Define early-stage customer requirements and program scope for new initiatives.
