Job summary

Responsibilities include process development, DFM/A collaboration, cycle-time estimation, and lead root-cause analysis on manufacturing issues, ensuring safety and quality compliance in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, or similar engineering discipline.
• 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes, process flow diagrams, documentation, and tooling to produce aerospace powertrain components.
• Collaborate with design engineers to optimize assemblies and part designs for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/A).
• Estimate cycle times, labor content, and ROM costs to support program planning, capacity modeling, and make/buy decisions.
• Design simple assembly fixtures and process aids in CAD, and define requirements for more complex tooling.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase yield, reduce cycle times, and lower production costs.
• Industrialize processes as production rates increase, including line balancing, takt time, work center definition, standard work, and capacity planning.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
• Support development of new powertrain technologies through NPI, from prototype to rate production.
• Provide technical support to production teams to resolve manufacturing issues and improve processes.
