Job summary

magniX in Everett, Washington is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and deliver electric powertrain products. You will create detailed CAD models, assess requirements, and support documentation, testing, and release processes.

This role requires a bachelor's in mechanical or aerospace engineering, 5+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency with SOLIDWORKS and PDM. Travel not indicated; commute to Everett.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Practical experience using 3D CAD (SOLIDWORKS) and PDM systems.
• GD&T knowledge (ASME Y14.5) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply aerospace design practices to electric aircraft motors and sub‑components.
• Conduct trade studies and identify methods for risk reduction.
• Produce complete design packages: drawings, analyses, BOMs, instructions.
• Review designs, manufacturing plans and test procedures for compliance.
• Coordinate with Quality, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Testing and other teams.
• Lead resolution of technical problems with cross‑functional teams.
• Develop understanding of certification requirements for Electric Propulsion Units.
